Overview
Following an initial extensive market search, Mars Canada Inc. selected Bizagi for a new workflow system which they called their “Factory Speed to Market Application”. This would represent the first time that any division anywhere within the Mars Global Corporation would select a BPMS vendor for such an important project.

Business Problem
Mars throughout the world use a huge SAP system which is housed in their SAP Centre of Excellence in Strasbourg. Mars Canada Inc., however felt that in order to achieve a successful outcome to this requirement, an extension in capabilities to current functionality was required. A very important requirement was the cost effectiveness of any chosen solution. Mars specified a wish to move away from a heavy reliance on intensive coding with all of the inherent costs associated with that. Bizagi has implemented the “Factory Speed to Market” application in Mars’ Canada head office of Bolton. There Mars manufacture and distribute brands in three principle divisions; Chocolate, Food and Pet Care. Every year products are developed or reinvigorated in order to keep pace with an ever evolving and highly competitive market.

Bizagi Solution
Bizagi’s “Factory Speed to Market”, helps Mars control the design, manufacturing, marketing and distribution steps associated with product development. Distributing and selling these products throughout Canada and indeed the US, Mars are able to use the new Bizagi application to effectively and efficiently run 27 process applications sharing 9 business processes.
